The Welshpool and District Advisory Group The walking track is finished now taking it from Welshpool to Pt. Welshpool, what an asset we have now. What a great achievement, thanks to those concerned.Promoting active lifestyle within the community directly affects community wellbeing. Being able to access safe walking areas encourages more activity by children on bikes, horses and especially elderly members of the community; a local walking group has also sprung up because of the availability of these walking areas. Access to the local sporting stadium was always difficult for local children as the highway was the only link available to the two towns of Welshpool/Pt. Welshpool. Development of the walking track provided a safe link for access to basketball and golfing activities with more participation being a direct result.
