CORNER INLET FISHERY- CODE OF PRACTICE

All Members of the Corner Inlet Fisheries Habitat Association Inc. have signed and agreed that the operation of their licence will follow the Code of Practice in relation to Seine Net operations as follows:

1. Seine Net shots are limited to no more than two per day (from midnight to midnight).

2. Seine Nets are to be shot along the channel and towed in at right angles to the channel when using two boats.

3. Seine Net shots using two boats towing must be shot and closed up within forty five minutes.

4. Seine Net shots using one boat towing have no time limit to close up.

5. Operators of the licence cannot work both sides of the line known as the “Middle Ground” in any one day The “Middle Ground” is the high bank dividing the head of the Welshpool Channel and the Port Albert Channel.

 

REPORTING MISUSE OF CODE OF PRACTICE

Provision is made hereunder to report any instance of misuse of the Code of Practice in writing to the Committee of the Corner Inlet Fisheries Habitat Association Inc. The Committee will then conduct an investigation into the alleged instance within 7 days of receiving the Report and notify the outcome to the person who has lodged the Report. This form must be completed and forwarded to the Committee within 7 days of the alleged instance at the following address:
