Prom Coast Summer Festival

The event this year was a huge success with good attendance, Saturday was a beautiful day and brought out the crowd, unfortunately Sunday’s weather wasn’t as good but  people still turned up to the festival and enjoyed themselves.  A good number of people came from the city, who really enjoyed seeing what rural Victoria has to offer.
The "Sea Days Festival" was reported as being the best attended so far with many new attractions. The "Come and Try fishing day was so successful on the Saturday, we are looking at holding it over 2 days next year. The reptiles were a big hit as was the “Car-Ed”.  Approximately 2000 people attended the festival..
The Show n Shine proved very successful considering this was the inaugural event. 63 exhibits were entered and we were praised on the organisation of the event. Some car clubs said they would bring more exhibitors next year.
The Tour De Garage' was also successful with garage sale holders happy with the turn up, many people turned up on the Saturday so next year we will hold it over the 2 days Saturday & Sunday.
The Kelpie trials were very popular with over 100 people turning up on one of the days, they enjoyed seeing the Kelpies working, something people from the city don’t have access too.
Unfortunately the Rock dance which was held on the Friday night at the Welshpool hall didn’t have many attend but the people that were there had a great time.

Thanks to all those volunteers who participated in the organisation of the event, we could not do it without them.
Thanks to all the sponsors for their donation of goods for the show bags and their help also in the organisation of the event.

Hopefully it will all be on again Next Year.

• Agnes Falls 10 minutes from Welshpool a beautiful cascade of water especially after rain, with a park and bar-b-que great place for a family gathering or just enjoy the peace and serenity.
• The Toora Wind Farm, Toora.

• Welshpool is within easy drive to the Tarra Bulga National Park, Wilson's Promontry, Sandy Point Surf Beach.

• The RTC (The Rural Transaction Centre) is the hub of Welshpool with many services including, ANZ Bank, Centrelink, Education, Bus Bookings, Internet Access, and Tourist Information.
